Protein is one of the macronutrients needed in child growth, which can be obtained from animal and plant foodstuffs. intake gets more attention because energy-protein malnutrition common children under five. nutrition for must fulfilled to prevent growth retardation next phase. This research aims establish a profile preschool children's vegetable protein intake. type descriptive observational with cross-sectional design. was conducted at Bina Anasprasa Nuris Jember Kindergarden March 2023. The sample this study aged 3-5 years, totaling 53 people who were taken by purposive sampling. Food consumption data using 1x24-hour food recall method. Processing analysis univariate analysis. Preschool girls have than boys (67.9% 32.1%). majority mothers are not working/housewives (62.3%), while fathers self-employed (45.3%). Most families income above 2023 UMK (62.3%). Nutritional status indicators weight/age, height/age, weight/height all has normal, good nutritional (100%). Total increased slightly whose minimum wage. Meanwhile, sources similar but higher protein. Animal ingredients still high biological value they contain essential amino acids compared Therefore, preschoolers need increase their daily diet.
